Welcome to Palm Coast

Palm Coast, the heart of Flagler county, is located midway between the quaint historic city of St. Augustine and dynamic Daytona Beach, the racing Mecca and home of the Daytona 500.

Flagler county, one of the most pristine and scenic counties in Florida, was named after the world renowned entrepreneur, Henry Morrison Flagler. He opened the Florida frontier to American and European tourists in the 1800's and in conjunction with John James Audobon, inaugurated the Audobon Society.

Imagine tropical forests and native plant life, majestic oak, pine and palmetto palms hundreds of years old. Tranquil intracoastal and salt water canal waterways and miles of ocean beaches are inhabited by countless species of shore and water birds and an abundance of fish of all kinds.

The county was recognized by the state of Florida for its protection of natural resources and its vast public recreation and  parks system. Flagler County received the 1994 Florida Green ways award for its beautiful 26 mile coastline.  The county is the recipient of a Preservation 2000 Grant to purchase Princess  Place Preserve, which is listed on the National Registry as one of 23 historic places in the U.S.
